- Dr. Luis Cifuentes gave an update on the Texas A&M rule on Time and Effort reporting. The rule has gone through multiple drafts and reviews across campus. Further PI comments can be sent to his attention at cifuentes@tamu.edu. The draft rule is located in the February 11, 2009 CPI materials.
- The Time and Effort reporting committee will work with the Division of Research and Graduate Studies to to clearly classify exempt and non-exempt employees for purposes of certifying.
- Dr. Richard Mercier gave a preliminary charge of the Export Controls Task Force and his service as the CPI representative on this committee. He will report back to CPI when more details emerge.
- Mr. Mike O'Quinn reminded attendees that up-to-date information on federal affairs can be found on his blog.
